LEAD ON!
What comes next for LEAD Alumnae?
LEAD ON!
Retaining women in the practice of law takes more than a strong start. The LEAD Academy has spent nearly a decade building skills among colleagues in their third through twelfth years of practice — but the need for development doesn't end there.
That's why we created LEAD ON!, designed to build on LEAD's core concepts as the careers of our alumnae advance. LEAD ON! follows the format that has defined the LEAD experience: nationally recognized speakers at an overnight symposium and a series of afternoon seminars organized around our core values — with one addition.
LEAD. EMPOWER. ADVANCE. DEVELOP. ONWARD!
LEAD has always been substantive, demanding, and professionally consequential. LEAD ON! is being developed in that same spirit.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
LEAD ON! is a special anniversary year of programming, content, and networking created exclusively for the LEAD community. You are invited if you are:
• A graduate of any LEAD class
• A current or former Steering Committee member
• A current or former Advisory Board member
• A former BCWB President who served during LEAD’s tenure (2017 to present)
• A recipient of LEAD’s Iconic Women’s Leader Award
There is no application process — you are all invited. Because our physical space is limited, we encourage you to sign up as soon as you decide to join us.
-
LEAD ON! is a year-long program built on the structure of a LEAD year: one overnight symposium followed by four seminars, plus a full year of content and connection with the people who know this work best.
Classes are held in the afternoon only, so you can better manage your workday obligations. The symposium includes an optional overnight stay in Boerne.
-
Tuition for the full year is $600. A $200 deposit holds your spot and is due with your registration by December 1, 2026. The balance is due by January 31, 2027.
What tuition covers
All LEAD ON! programming, content, networking, and any CLE credit — the same as a traditional LEAD year.
What tuition does not cover
One night’s stay at the symposium hotel. Staying overnight is entirely up to you, and so is choosing a roommate — or not. We will provide booking information at a reasonable rate for everyone who wants to stay and extend the fun.
A note on refunds and scholarships
We have kept tuition low so that cost is not a barrier, and for that reason we do not anticipate offering scholarships this year. Because we commit to speakers, space, and materials well in advance, we are not able to offer partial refunds once you are registered — but your place in the cohort is yours for the whole year, whether or not you make every class.
-
LEAD ON! is being introduced as part of the 10th anniversary year in 2027. We hope to offer LEAD ON! class years periodically going forward, so this community continues to have somewhere to grow.
-
LEAD ON! is a chance to reconnect with the people who understand your career, to keep developing as a leader, and to spend a year in focused programming alongside a strong professional community. We also think it will be tremendously exciting.
-
Sign-ups open in fall 2026 and close December 1, 2026, for a class that begins in 2027. Space is limited, so early registration is encouraged.
LEAD ON!
Our 2027 lineup brings back voices the LEAD community already knows and trusts, alongside new speakers chosen for where our careers are headed next.
